Part Seventy-Six. Belfast’s EJECA is fast becoming one of the UK’s most talked about producers. Over the past few months he has made his Fabric debut, collaborated with his fellow countrymen Bicep for a release on Aus, scored a DJ Mag ‘Killer’ single of the month with ‘Horizon’ released on Need/Want, and now he has a new 12″ out on Waze & Odyssey’s W&O Street Tracks label.
That new EP has been one of the biggest tracks around this autumn, with everyone from Pete Tong to Skream & Benga raving about it, and has cemented his position as one to keep a very close eye on as we head into 2013.

FIVE SONGS YOU MUST HEAR THIS WEEK #76: EJECA
ARPANET-WIRELESS INTERNET
This whole LP is great but I really love the futuristicness (is that a word?) of this track. I can imagine Arpanet being a good choice for the new Blade runner soundtrack if Vangelis is too busy.
MITCHELL C-KEEP IT RIGHT THERE
£25 on discogs but worth every penny, pure 90s groove with the most shuffle on an M1 Organ Bass I’ve heard to date (I’m a bit of an M1 Organ Bass connoisseur)
MR ROY-SOMETHING ABOUT YOU (MR ROY’S DEERSTALKER DUB)
Absolutely humongous warehouse stomper that I’m playing at the end of my sets. Samples Nikita Warren’s “I Need You”
KUEDO-WHISPER FATE
He is a genius. Again this is on the Vangelis tip but I love how he’s combined his manic Vex’d stuff with bliss. I could have chosen 5 songs of his but this is what I clicked on first.
SIGUR RÓS-SAMSKEYTI
8am, taxi ordered, leaving a house party dishevelled. Put this on when you get in a you’ll feel at least 20% better (a good shower also gives you another 20%).
