Five Songs You Must Hear This Week: BeatauCue

Part Fourty-Six. Mederic and Alexis are made of electricity and can be considered as the sons of electronic music. These two French guys from the Normandy countryside started producing music at home in their bedroom, in Caen. They first hit the dance floor with remixes of the likes of Brodinski & Noob – Peanuts Club and Major Lazer – Pon De Floor and we bet you’ll be crushed by their fresh and screamy productions. Then, in less than a year they remixed Boys Noize, Two Door Cinema Club, Kylie Minogue, Designer Drugs, Armand Van Helden & Steve Aoki and many more…

So in addition to getting great support, they’re also regularly playlisted by Crookers, Cassius, Armand Van Helden, Steve Aoki, Diplo, Erol Alkan, Fake Blood, Brodinski, Skrillex, A-Trak and others. The famous French rock band, Pony Pony Run Run, also played the remix they did for them in there aftershow DJ Set.

Their debut EP was released April 2010 on Kitsuné. The remix they made of Kylie Minogue’s Get Outta My Way got great feedback from Kylie herself! their remix of Stevie Wonder – Superstition (Two Door Cinema Club cover) is the jingle of famous French daily TV Show Le Grand Journal on Canal+ since September 2010.

You can find their brand new track ‘Kiho’ on the Kitsuné Parisien II compilation (released February 13th)

There’s much more stuff to come – next month they’ll be releasing another new track (with a release party at Social Club in Paris on March 2nd) & in the upcoming three months you can catch them live on their North American tour (incl. SXSW) – click here to check out more dates

This new Nicki Minaj track is crazy, kinda minimalistic with big drums whistles and sirens. Not really fan of the sing part at 2.30 but the 200bpm kick moment followed by the groovy sub part is awesome.

Big drums and craziness again. The laugh sample is super great. There is not that much to say about this track, it’s just a dancefloor banger, as we say.

This is the new Gary Beck track. It’s made of a looped vocal sample, snare rolls, a precisely pumped bassline and a cymbal coming at the right moment. It could sound a bit classic on a casual sound system but it’s really intense when played in a big room, we tried last weekend.

Our favorite dark big room track. it’s really intense and the sound is really fat and noisy. if people want more noise this is the perfect track for them.

The Perfect track to end our set. A bit mysterious and catchy but it always works and the crowd up for the second drop.
