just got back from the game,
1st half was terrible
2nd half was full of excitement, would say everton just about edged it, slack defending gave away 2 pretty irritating goals., particularly the 2nd one where if yobo hadnt been celebrating so much he would have got back to do some actual defending, i.e. his job.
Can't believe phil neville scored, if it hadn't have taken such a big deflection i think it would have hit me in my seat behind the opposite corner flag.
Martin O'neill needs to shut up and sit down too, what a wanker.
5th is looking doubtful, Villa should easy take 6 points off wigan and west ham, whereas everton have Arsenal away next (0 points) & Newcastle at home (1 or 3 points).
Lets hope Cardiff lose the FA cup.

MO'N is quality mate, look at how he has turned the village round. I know he can grate on people because he's full on, but supporters always love their manager to be passionate. I honestly thought a draw was about fair, I'd certainly have settled for it with about 15 minutes left. Your supporters weren't loving the ref today.

yeah a draw was a fair result, I think Martin O'neill is a great manager but a t**t of a person. Yeah the ref. made some poor decisions today, got very card happy, didnt really let things flow. One of your players handled in the area too but Everton don't get penalties.

Martin O'Neil is an utter twat! He's got 'little man syndrome' with a side order of 'the world is against me'. He's WELL fucking ignorant. Can't fucking stand the man.
Also, why the fuck is he ALWAYS mentioned whenever a high profile juob comes up? He's done nowt! As far as his record in the heathen lands North of the boarder goes, I could manage Celtic or Rangers and the worst I'd finish would be second.
It really baffles me why people hold him in such high regard. He's also a fucking personality vaccum.

Think a point for Everton against Newcastle would clinch it, Wigan at home isn't nailed on given Wigan've been playing a bit better recently, and West Ham aways never gonna be an easy game. Can't see Villa taking more than 4 points there, and to be fair to O'Neil, he's built that team right back up again from the ruins left by O'Leary, although if they loose Barry as well as Melberg in the summer mid-table mediocrity could beckon again.

I know what you mean about his motivational quality's, I can't see it but there must be something to it all.
However your comments on Keegans lack of tactical nous land somewhere off the mark.
O'Neil can hardly hold a candle to Keegan.
For a man that has no tactical nous, he took over Newcastle 3 months into the season in his first term when Newcastle were 2nd bottom of the old 2nd division. If you remember rightly we finished top of the 2nd division with a record points total after scoring a (still unbeaten) record amount of goals. Andy Cole chipping in with 45!!!!
The Season after, with minimal investment in new players we managed to finish 3rd in the Premier league in our debut season all the while playing some of the most entertaining football ever seen! We played in 2 Champions League Campaigns, getting to the last 16 on both occasions, beating Barcelona (3-2 at St James), Juventus, Real Mallorca, Monaco, Lens, Ferencvarcos, Fenebache and Lyon.
The next two seasons in the Premiership saw us finish 2nd to Man U and 3rd again. So that's 3 top 3 finishes in a row, successful runs in the Champions league and FA cup. Hardly the record of a man who's 'Tactically Naive' is it!
Now compare that to what O'Neil has done with Leicester and Villa.

Yeah, it's shocking, considering 12 months ago we were just safe from a relegation battle and playing some terrible football, fast forward to two derby wins and a top 10 position.
