Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - CrazyCat - 2010-08-31 17:49:26 matz8916 Wrote:milan fucking raped lecce sunday!! I know its only Lecce but its the best I've seen this team play in at least 5 years. That first half was just beautiful to watch, Ronaldinho and Pato were magic. Great game from start to finish with Inzaghi getting the goal. :DRobinho has defo signed, 18 mill plus add ons. They have a lot of attacking options now, plus a lot of defence minded players so hopefully that will work in their favour! I thought Schalke were in huners ae debt, but by the looks of the transfers today there not too bothered! Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - PaoloTramezzani - 2010-09-01 00:48:44 gyan to sunderland for £13m seems a lot to me and not consistent enough in front of goal but i hope it comes off, certainly gives a different option to bent and they well need strikers spurs have been a deadline day circus as per, hope vdv signs obviously, at least there's been no rasiak edit: sorry just catching up, brum have done well, beausejour was brilliant at the world cup i thought and hleb ir proven quality Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - Long Live Disco - 2010-09-01 12:57:09 Has Van Der Vaart gone to Tottenham?? Milner @ 24 million or Van Der Vaart @ 8 million I know which one i'd of gone for. Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - SomethingMoreGlorious - 2010-09-01 13:35:47 With regards to Gyan, we desperately needed a striker and Bruce had put all his eggs in the one basket. It was either him or nobody so the money is irelevant in many ways. Always a risk as to how he'll adapt to the Premiership but a definite step-up from Campbell and Welbeck so I'll take it. It's a relief to hear from Gyan that Bruce had been tracking him for around two years and that we tried to sign him before the World Cup. Was worried the purchase was off the back of 4/5 games. Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - BillieT - 2010-09-01 13:51:20 We put all our eggs into a fabiano shaped basket too and Seville fucked us, dunno what the crack is with vdv but if we pull it off I will be a very happy boy Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - PaoloTramezzani - 2010-09-01 13:59:29 SomethingMoreGlorious Wrote:With regards to Gyan, we desperately needed a striker and Bruce had put all his eggs in the one basket. As much as he's an idiot, it's difficult to argue when looking at the stats from last year and how reliant on Bent we were. So, at the very least, this signing means Tony Cascarino thinks we might now stop up, so that's a definite positive step. Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - CatMonkeyPig - 2010-09-01 15:20:32 Van der Vaart deal done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! x Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - BillieT - 2010-09-01 15:22:15 :) :) :) Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - side - 2010-09-01 15:53:50 8 mil? god that makes me sick, thats too much of a bargain. Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - BillieT - 2010-09-01 16:06:29 'He's quick, he's dutch, he didn't cost us much, Van Der Vaaaaart' Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - SomethingMoreGlorious - 2010-09-01 16:09:18 Mega odd transfer. Couple of Spurs fans giving it the big 'un in the office. I politely reminded them that Sunderland's player cost £13m so he's clearly better. They're not having it. Mugs. Mugs.I would of though Spurs fans of all people would realise that logic instantly Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - Jamie_ - 2010-09-01 16:36:23 You lot do realise he plays in the same position as Modric and Krancjar, right? And Modric is better. You needed a defender really. I don't think Spurs will be able to cope with playing in the Champions League and the Prem this season. Most teams fuck it up the first time round. Also, if the quotes he came out with today about getting the call about 4pm then going, "ah, why not?" are true, then I can't think how more apt the description "wheeler-dealer" is. On a more important note, QPR managed to get Rob Hulse and Tommy Smith in yesterday. Reportedly, we got Hulse for 800k. Which is ridiculous if true. Leeds bid 4 million last year. I'm not going to be able to get down to see us anytime soon as I've managed to schedule Eurosport work for our next couple of home games. I dunno when we're next on TV but I urge you all to tune in, purely to watch Taarabt and his unbelievable Jeff skills. Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - side - 2010-09-01 16:39:52 Yeah I made that point when they got Eidur on loan last season. Redknapp doesn't really care. shit it got them 4th place. So maybe we should just shup up about it, seems to work for them. Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - Jamie_ - 2010-09-01 16:41:39 Also, Gyan would have cost like £4 mil before the World Cup. Less than Rob Hulse a year ago. By that logic we've secured ourselves a striker worth over £13 million, befitting our title as richest club in the world. Spin on that Man City. Hulse is better than Gyan anyway. All that bloke can do is run. He scored 1 goal last season. *slow claps* Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - side - 2010-09-01 16:47:34 Gyan is shit, he was shit at the World Cup, missed so many chances a scored one good goal. Not worth breaking bank over. Bet he's older than 24 as well. Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - SomethingMoreGlorious - 2010-09-01 16:50:30 How can he be shit if we paid £13m for him?! Use ur brane. That makes him 26 times better than Fabregas. FACT. I heard Hulse is 400k moving up to 800k which is a bargain really. I still think we could do with left back cover though and another striker to really challenge for a top 4 finish. My brother works at Eurosport too btw! Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - Kenedē - 2010-09-01 18:30:49 £8 mill? 'arry really is a bit of a wheeler dealer. I really do rate him, and for 8 mill its not a bad deal, fair play he could be classed as the same kind of player as Modric but he has Champs League experience and adds a bit of class to an already decent team. Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - Secret Disco Squirrel - 2010-09-01 19:37:46 Im happy with Gyan. Perfect compliment for Bent. And leagues better than that lazy git Jones. Typical. Really hope its not true. I'll be gutted if we have to play Borrowdale at left back. Should try and loan van Aanholt from Chelsea. I only do live football matches at Eurosport from time to time. Does your brother work in Feltham? |
