gyan to sunderland for £13m
seems a lot to me and not consistent enough in front of goal but i hope it comes off, certainly gives a different option to bent and they well need strikers
spurs have been a deadline day circus as per, hope vdv signs obviously, at least there's been no rasiak

With regards to Gyan, we desperately needed a striker and Bruce had put all his eggs in the one basket. It was either him or nobody so the money is irelevant in many ways. Always a risk as to how he'll adapt to the Premiership but a definite step-up from Campbell and Welbeck so I'll take it.
It's a relief to hear from Gyan that Bruce had been tracking him for around two years and that we tried to sign him before the World Cup. Was worried the purchase was off the back of 4/5 games.

Cascarino said in today's paper that Sunderland were potentially "one serious injury to Bent away from relegation". As much as he's an idiot, it's difficult to argue when looking at the stats from last year and how reliant on Bent we were.
So, at the very least, this signing means Tony Cascarino thinks we might now stop up, so that's a definite positive step.

On a more important note, QPR managed to get Rob Hulse and Tommy Smith in yesterday. Reportedly, we got Hulse for 800k. Which is ridiculous if true. Leeds bid 4 million last year.
I'm not going to be able to get down to see us anytime soon as I've managed to schedule Eurosport work for our next couple of home games. I dunno when we're next on TV but I urge you all to tune in, purely to watch Taarabt and his unbelievable Jeff skills.

I really do rate him, and for 8 mill its not a bad deal, fair play he could be classed as the same kind of player as Modric but he has Champs League experience and adds a bit of class to an already decent team.
