RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - clement - 2011-02-16 12:26:30 was Flamini's tackle that bad, people were saying it could of ended his career!? [/quote] he got the ball, but it was utterly reckless and could've been a legbreaker had he been a fraction higher. definite red in today's game. the ref seemed to lose the plot somewhat. don't support spurs, but congratulations are well deserved. especially annoying to see them do so well at the san siro after our slightly tepid affair in greece earlier on. RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - PaoloTramezzani - 2011-02-16 12:29:08 yeah, definite red and then he had the gall to tell corluka to get up and other milan players were getting at the ref accusing us of time-wasting so glad that they managed to hold it together gallas went to RB and woodgate came on for his first game since nov 2009, both were solid and dawson went into captain fantastic mode :) RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - Joker - 2011-02-16 12:36:59 Last night Gomes made the game saving 2 times on Mario Yepes... RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - PaoloTramezzani - 2011-02-16 12:49:47 all the pieces matter RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - CrazyCat - 2011-02-16 13:07:41 http://en.classics.uefa.com/seasons/6901 Milan V Göteborg 25 November 1992 - Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Milan First goal is class. RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - BillieT - 2011-02-16 13:37:52 This is funny: (Skip to 4:45 and 7 minutes for the good bits) RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - JoelDee - 2011-02-16 13:56:15 (2011-02-16 10:40:29)PaoloTramezzani Wrote: fantastic performance last night, i've got to admit in didn't think we could get even a draw there, i thought i was being optimistic in predicting 2-1 to milan... no bale, modric or huddlestone in midfield i thought we'd get over-run but sandro and palacios stuck to their tasks superbly, it feels foolish to single players out for praise when the team was so good I really wish Gatusso wasnt suspended would love to see the abuse hed get playing at WHL RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - charles - 2011-02-16 14:03:28 Aha this show is always quality. It was even better when you could send texts, they were appearing at the bottom of the screen. It was a real pleasure to watch the "tifosi" taking part of the show. Edit : I've just seen a long sum up of the game. And yeah Gattuso's attitude is unforgivable. I still can't realise how a player with his experience can act like that. And the tv show the fight. Maybe they should just cut it and show the highlights again. It would prevent people (and children in particular) from seeing acts like those. About Flamini's tackle, yeah sure it's very dangerous and he could have broken the leg. Plus a red card would have been a reminder that this is real football. But honestly I've seen worse things not being given even a yellow card, yes in the Premier League too. Tottenham seems to play good football and I'd like to see them in the quarterfinals. Gomes really did a great game too! I'm really looking forward to Arsenal Barca tonight. I'm sure it will be good football RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - housecat87 - 2011-02-16 14:41:53 (2011-02-16 05:55:23)andy8271 Wrote:(2011-02-15 22:50:34)matz8916 Wrote: These English commentators are such a fuckin joke.... What's the point of commentating on something if you are gonna mention the same thing over and over.... They are still loads better than the commentators you get on other online streams. The absolute worst are gol tv, a scottish guy that can hardly string a coherent sentence together and an american who thinks hes a spanish commentator, funny to begin with but the novelty wears off after 5 minutes. Sky do need to get Andy Gray back tho, the guy that replaced him yesterday was generic and dull, even if you think Gray spouted a lot of bullshit, which i dont (during match commentary), he at least did it with conviction. Regarding the game it was a great 2nd half, which was also partly due to Milans baiting which intensified the game after a pretty boring first half imo. Fairplay to Tottenham tho, I think even many of the more experienced CL teams would have lost their heads. And yes Flamini should have seen straight red. Hopefuly the Barcenal game tonight wont be a let down. RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - BillieT - 2011-02-16 14:43:19

RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - Niko - 2011-02-16 19:00:21 1- 0 to the Arsenal is my prediction. Start building the England team around him now. I remember him giving the ball away once all game. Koscielny put in an immense performance too. An absolute rock at the back. |
