RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - delor9 - 2011-08-27 18:33:54 i don't know exactly but i don't think nolan was on a fortune, nor was enrique. haha aye, we're still stuck with niall ranger though, he was arrested for assault last night, already trying to take bartons place RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - PaoloTramezzani - 2011-08-31 10:38:35 Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone on Twitter: "Can't believe who just sneaked into the training ground the back way! Wow." transfer deadline day is not good for spurs fans' hearts... rasiak to VDV and everything in between RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - housecat87 - 2011-09-20 11:56:13 7 years since clough died RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - jamdoughnut - 2012-04-26 22:24:10 and https://vimeo.com/40998935 RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - bertal - 2012-04-27 00:26:30 hahahaha i knew torres would score RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - PaoloTramezzani - 2012-04-27 08:22:48 i'm actually quite optimistic for the remainder of the league season now with chelsea bound for glory in the CL we're nailed on for 4th RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - Niko - 2012-04-27 09:25:46 haha good bump I really enjoyed Chelsea's victory over Barca RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - PaoloTramezzani - 2012-06-13 09:01:28 http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jun/12/harry-redknapp-tottenham so long 'arry, don't let the door hit your arse on the way out he's done a very good job at spurs, no doubt about that, but he's always been looking after number 1 (no, not the goalkeeper) every quote he comes out with you can rewind 3 months and find the exact opposite, he'll say whatever suits his agenda at that particular time RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - housecat87 - 2012-06-13 12:03:59 (2012-06-13 09:01:28)PaoloTramezzani Wrote: every quote he comes out with you can rewind 3 months and find the exact opposite, he'll say whatever suits his agenda at that particular time tbf that can be said for almost any football manager. RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - PaoloTramezzani - 2012-06-13 13:07:32 maybe so but most managers agendas are aligned with their club... it's players, it's fans, it's chairman i don't know, maybe I'm holding everyone up to Martin Jol's example, granted he didn't always see eye to eye with mr levy but you felt like he had the club at the heart of his decisions, he felt like a tottenham man from the day he took over from santini the moment the england job came up redknapp's approach changed, notable in his language always talking about tottenham like some foreign entity 'tottenham', 'them' and 'what they are going to do' lo and behold a couple of days before hodgson was confirmed it was back to 'us' and what 'we are going to do' I'm just glad we've got Levy, though he's in for a tough summer, he'll be pilloried in the press if he ditches redknapp RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - housecat87 - 2012-06-13 14:25:46 thats fair enough, i though most spurs supporters would side with redknapp in this contract issue considering some of the success he brought, although losing a 10 point lead is pretty dismal. can see how it would upset a few when he starts to believe his won hype too much. always been a fan of martin jol in the way he behaves and carries himself. RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - housecat87 - 2012-06-14 00:06:00 and hes gone, still seems a bit harsh but spose its hard to say without being privy to the contract negotiations. still, what a fall from grace RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - PaoloTramezzani - 2012-06-14 00:41:08 all the twitter noise is coming from journalists and all the upset fans on skysports are from other teams it's a shame that it's come to this and if we were after a new manager we should have sorted this out as soon as chelsea won the CL i guess levy thought harry would accept his contract offer and they couldn't find a compromise RE: Erol Alkan Official Football Thread - Radio Ladio - 2012-06-14 09:09:03 Would have thought Abramovic & FSG are pretty gutted. Both would have jumped on Redknapp is he was available at the time. Where he gonna go now I wonder? No high profile teams in England are looking for a manager are they? Haha yeah, they'd only ever be interested in managers between jobs and redknapp would have been top of their lists if he didn't have that pesky year left on his contract! |
