nba playoffs - dempsey_2002 - 2009-05-24 06:12:47

i've been following the nba like crazy this season and the playoffs have been so great.
i'd love to see a lakers v cleveland final but i think cleveland will take the prize in the end.
lebron is upstoppable.
it's great when i work in the mornings because i get to watch the games live here.
i'm very happy that lakers just won

nba playoffs - ourtalk - 2009-05-24 12:43:26

huge nba fan
philly is the basketball capital of the world dont give me that nyc bs

there are no amazing players from nyc

kobe
wilt

maybe the 2 best from here

all games been great kobe is ending this faster then most will think.
phil jackson has that look in his eye do not f with him right now.

also kobe really didnt play his first 2 season
so hes pretty much been to the nba finals
6 out 10 years

i think he is the best player ever to play the game

also look at my facebook page had orlando winning in 6 games
nobody on that team can stop orlando 2nd and 3rd options
hedo or lewis.

yes i know nobody is stopping lebron

man if orlando had a beter coach where they ran the o-game threw him and aad jamar was healthy they could win it all, man they are young minus hedo

nba playoffs - jeremyp - 2009-05-25 07:04:05

i want to see nuggets and orlando in the final :D
nuggets r my team, i cant look past carmelo and billups
game3 magic v cavs was almost a blow out compared to the recent results in these play offs... most games gone down to the wire

nba playoffs - Fifstar - 2009-05-25 10:29:54

Was I big nba fan back in the last proper days of jordan, got up at 3 Am to watch the finals when I was in school. Was a miami fan after that (Alonzo Mourning) but I stopped watching as there are no good tv shows for the nba in germany.

Got back into it this playoffs, really good games so far, it seems like everybody can defeat everybody.

Anybody know where you can watch games online?

nba playoffs - jeremyp - 2009-05-25 15:50:41

i dont know about watch games online, but im sure there is somewhere, theres plenty of sites where u can watch soccer so same logic applies - there should be nba

haha today i was stuck at uni reading a play by play game log on some website :D
was boring but it did the trick haha

yeh ino in all of the match ups its hard to pick who looks weaker/stronger. it doesnt seem to make a difference if its home or away either

nba playoffs - jeremyp - 2009-05-27 04:58:42

big overtime from dwight howard :D
u watch , magics vs nuggets, its gona happen

nba playoffs - ourtalk - 2009-05-27 15:17:21

tonight will make it much clear

nba playoffs - Radeo Vidio - 2009-05-28 09:16:38

We're talking 1992 Bulls Vs Blazers series right?

nba playoffs - ourtalk - 2009-05-28 09:39:35

bynum vs howard my thoughts if it happens

nobody is talking about yet
but could also be future match up for many years to come
this could bring bynum name into alot of households

also remember this hoop fans afew months ago
phil jackson was asked if he could take any young player in the league right now
who would it be, over lebron melo bynum and list of other amazing players
he said he would take dwight howard.

you think deep down phil knew this was coming and wanted to lite a fire on bynum so if this match up did happen, the ground work has been put into place for mr jackson

bynum - 21 - 7ft 285
howard 23 6"11 265

i think bynum o game is better then howards o game was at this point
but def its not even close but i think i take bynum in the long run

nba playoffs - steve - 2009-05-28 12:30:18

has there been another game since the orlando one? couldnt find it on tv last night

nba playoffs - bash - 2009-05-28 12:48:50

i love the NBA! and it so happens orlando is my team, cant believe they have got this far really!

Everyone was criticizing the huge pay day they gave rashard lewis but he has hit some amazing ones from long range in the cleveland series that few others could have.

Lakers defeated the Nuggets last night at staples to take a 3 - 2 lead in the series i believe

nba playoffs - bash - 2009-05-28 12:52:23

ourtalk Wrote:kobe is the best player ever to play the game
you could argue about this all night and compare era's, this is what i love about Basketball and american sport.

I dont think he's the best ever, you cant really compare guards/small forwards with power forwards/centres.

Certainly he's one of those where if you restrict him to 30 in the game you havent done badly. Thats a player in the very top bracket.

Orlando are letting lebron get 40 a game and they're still winning tho!

nba playoffs - ourtalk - 2009-05-28 13:34:25

its like this, your not going to stop lebron no matter what you throw at him. i mean he is averaging 42 point for the whole playoffs not just against orlando. so you try to stop the role players over him. it really comes down to orlando's fwd both 6'10 dudes who can shot and post up, dribble and dish. teams barely have yet alone 2 that are that unreal.

i understand the era's and comparing. but let me put this way, i'm a huge jordan fan, there might have been some better sueprstar then the overall team play was garage. thats when stern try to market superstar, one per a team and really took away from teamm concept.

look what kobe had to play threw, during his rings. the league as a whole was way better then either of jordans runs. and the west was a million times harder then what jordan played there.

you think of the bulls playoff runs come john starks and craigh elho were his biggest rivals, but scrubs at the end of the day. you can say those detriot teams but they were already past there prime and aging.

kobe had to against some of the best teams of any era night in and night out. i can throw of stats later. kobe didint really play til he was about 21 rode the bench hard 1st 2 years.
he if they make the finals this year. thats 6 out 10 seasons. thats pretty nuts.

i don't know how old you are but do you remember some of those lakers vs kings series
some of the best basketball games i ever saw. ha we all know i'm a philly kid and i just barely remember some of thoes great boston vs sixers series from the late 70s early 80s.
man i love soccer.

speaking of draft, i really think rubio should be the number 1 pick

and if orlando had jamar healthy that would have been a lock to go to the finals.

jamar vs west would have been great theater aswell. both from st joes college(philly college) and both from philly.

good i love this game

nba playoffs - jeremyp - 2009-05-28 15:55:25

lol ourtalk it definitely looks as though u do love it

about the bynum howard match up, i dont think it will be as crucial as u make it out to be
orlando's been winning there games and i think howards been kept relatively quiet, in the last 2 especially,

except for howards over time last game, i think 3 of the 4 quarters he was heaps out of it, players like alston, petrous, and turkoglu stepped up heaps

nba playoffs - ourtalk - 2009-05-28 17:21:00

yeah i agree, i think its a showcase of more of the future then now. if orlando starts to runs there o game threw dwight and they should with a a year or like houston does with yao, its going to get really scarey. but at the same time howard still needs that ewing/akeem/robinson jump show to start working if he wants to take his game to that next plateau

nba playoffs - dempsey_2002 - 2009-05-28 17:56:10

i don't think bynum is as consistant as dwight. but being a lakers fan i'm hoping he does become a superstar in the future. i was loving his game before he got injured but i haven't really been feeling him in the playoff's.
i must say it's looking really bad for the cavaliers at the moment.
if lebron didn't make that magic shot they would have already been knocked out by now.
i wouldn't mind a lakers v magic final but i would have much prefered lakers v cav's.
kobe and lebron would be a great finals match up

nba playoffs - dempsey_2002 - 2009-05-28 18:02:14

actually i take back what i said about bynum.
he made some great shots in game 5.

i hate the birdman from nuggets.
