Detroit-'ish' / Electro Bass - L33P33 - 2012-02-17 06:11:38 Morning all. This is a pretty vague thread, but wondered if anyone has any suggestions on where to start label/producer wise for looking back at old techno releases along this kinda vibe below. *Drum loop at the start* I guess you could say 808/909 bla bla, but I'm trying not to come across as a know it all. I've always been moreover a standard 4/4 house loving guy until about 2 years ago. There's LOADS of it around over the past few years thanks to the likes of Pearson Sound and other UK labels and I've got tons and tons of new examples of the sound, but I'm really keen to explore the sound as it was back in the late 90s and during the early 2000s. More over the techno sound as a take on the old electro sounds of the 70s/80s I'm sure there's a few of you who'd be interested in contributing. Thanks. RE: Detroit-'ish' Bass - Hubee - 2012-02-18 14:13:42 Dunno if this is any help to you! http://www.erolalkan.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=58369 RE: Detroit-'ish' Bass - L33P33 - 2012-02-19 04:56:11 Thanks for the heads up mate. Some great tracks in there. I guess I'm looking for tunes with you know that recognisable old skool, dare we say 'electro' percussion, but on a darker tip. Another example... However, would love to scout old some old gems from years gone bye.
