it looked like a dive to me, boruc pulled his arm out of the way and eduardo still went down dramatically with his hands in the air. i agree rooney and gerrard dive a lot as well, and as a bayern fan i can admit that luca toni has been guilty of it on a weekly basis, which eventually led to him often being genuinly fouled in the box and never getting a penalty.

i agree the ban would be ridiculous if its a one off thing, but im hoping this is the beginning of a strict policy against diving by uefa

Yeah, if there's no consistency and they ignore players then it's ridiculous. I would like to see a two game ban imposed for all dives which lead to a penalty, player getting sent off, booked etc.

They'd soon cut out the blatant dives.

The problem is though, people put far too much emphasis on the super slo mo replays. For example, the penalty Rooney won against Arsenal at the weekend. Full speed - blatant penalty. Super Sky Action Super Slo Mo HD - still a blatant penalty, but people will find a way of going "oh look he was already on his way down" or "he could have stayed on his feet."

Why would he want to have done that though?

Personally, I'm not totally against diving. We all need something meaningless to talk passionately about!

Kranjcar is a good buy at that price, i thiough he would have went for a lot more. Do you think he will get a game though??

Very good technique as do most Eastern European's Serbia Croatia etc.

good bit of business, he'll be an option in CM and both wings, has played most of his career as a left winger (which we've been screaming out for since ginola left) even though he's right footed, he won't be instantly first choise when everyone's fit but over the course of a season he'll get plenty of games at spurs

poor pompey, shame that he's in the last year of his contract and at this stage they look nailed on for relegation, they had to take the money, we could just hold onto him for a year and flog him for £10m in the summer, win-win :)

True, i think that Spurs have a good squad, i alway's thought though that they had too much player's though, but as people have said Arry' has got rid of players that were clogging up wages etc.

He know has a balanced squad, i think he does need another presence at Centre Back though. If he get'sd a few injury's and he is onlt left with King and someone that could be a problem, im sure he will sort that out next summer though.

I am pretty surprised at the amount of business that Sunderland did, and also the amount of player's good players Bruce has bought. Cattermole and Lorik Cana are very good buy's, Cattermole may be an England international soon and Cana has vast experience with Marseille (captian)

Looking forward to seeing how West Ham do aswell, Zola continuing his good work with West Ham after he left the Italian Under 21 sqaud with Luigi Caseraghi.

we're fine for CBs now, we've just been very unlucky with injuries at the start of the season
King/Woodgate/Dawson/Bassong are all very capable CBs and Corluka can cover if need be, Woodgate, King and Bassong will all be back after the international break, i think we've got as good cover at CB as anyone in the league

i like Bruce in the transfer market, he doesn't mind going further afield to get the player he wants and you have to rate a manager that takes Palacios to Birmingham from Honduras, then buys him again for Wigan before making a hefty profit for the club

I'm glad we didn't get Anton Ferdinand really, he'd be ok as cover but like you said once we get Daws and Woodgate back we are more than capable. Really pleased with how Bassong's fitting in so far and he could prove to be one of Harry's best buys.

I forgot you had Michael Dawson. He's slow.

Krancjar plays wide left for Croatia and Modric plays through the middle.

He must have some amazing contacts in South America, Rodallega looks like a class act as well, wouldn't be surprised if he's sold on in a year or so for a big profit.

Not sure. Palacios came from a recommendation from Arsene Wenger, and through Palacios he got Figueroa and then Rodallega.

Lorik Cana is a very shrewd signing though. Not sure about £12 million for Michael Turner.

Kranjcar will be handy cover for the injured Modric, Spur';s season back on track with that signing IMO

Two year ban for Chelsea.

Probably reduced to about 10 days on appeal.

sometimes but they've both played each others positions for their country too, modric wasn't getting much joy down the middle against ukraine for example so they switched him to the left, he scored, hit the post and set up the equalizer

tbf i saw valencia in the world cup too, he got my vote for young player of the tournament (anything to stop ronaldo getting it)

Show me one top club that hasn't induced an under 18 player to break their contract and I'll show you a liar.

Scott Minto thinks Chelsea's squad of 30 sometihngs will be unaffected by the ban over the next two years, so thats alright.

They'll almost certainly appeal to CAS who seems to love Chelsea seeing as they're the ones who judged that Adrian Mutu owes Chelsea €17 million.

They'll either reduce the ban to £34.99 and make Adrian Mutu pay it

or

increase the ban and give them a points penalty for a laugh.

I really hope it's the latter.

*edit* also, can any Chelsea fans tell me if you actually have any decent youth players? 'Cause if Miroslav Stoch is anything to go by....

Chelsea's witch hunt to bankrupt Adrian Mutu is shocking
