What, like producing Let The Beat Rock?

This legitimately upsets me that Boys Noize is being affiliated so heavily with The Black Eyed Peas...I don't know what is intentional, and what is ripping anymore.

Can someone give me an accurate breakdown of what work Will.I.Am and/or The Black Eyed Peas have done with Boys Noize?

Mind you Black Eyed Peas did the same with a Freeland track and he got a big fat payout as a result, as it wasn't authorized.
Lol at Boys Noize deliberately trying to not answer the question though...

Didn't he do something with Daft Punk, that they got pissed off with as well??

Yeah, he punched Bangalter in the ear and gave him tinnitus.

nice set-up!

What I remember of this story is that Let The Beat Rock was a collab between Alex, BEP, 50 Cent and possibly some more they made for fun. Then BEP took the song and released it under their own as Boom Boom Pow name without crediting the others and made millions.

If I've totally misunderstood this story please let me know :P

Jeeeeeeeeeeeez lay off everyone.

It's a shit tune, so what.

Yeah was originally a B-SIDE which has now turned into somewhat of a 'club anthem', whatever that means...

I just hope BN gets paid a crap load so he can as some people have already said, continue the great BNR and BNRTrax movement.
That's all I care about. I'm gonna carry on playing Yeah! regardless, because it is genuinely a great song and It'll be massive all over Miami and Ibiza this year, so get used to it!

err if i remember correctly alex was contacted by BEP's people asking him if he would do a remix of boom boom pow, he said he was busy but he had a half-finished track/idea which he sent on. lo and behold the finished track surfaced with little changes made bar the vocal content (though will i am does reference boys noize) and when alex asks what's up re payment he's told "you're part of the fam now, we won't pay you but we can work together in future to make muchos dollar bills"

this was all in a myspace blog post from alex himself which was subsequently taken down so if i should do the same - or if i've left anything out - let me know

there are many interviews mentioning alex's contact with black eyed peas..

http://www.volume.at/magazin/kategorie-u...t/m05/908/
in this one he is asked whether there has ever been a gig he shouldn't have played, because it went bad.
His answer: "Yes, one! have played this year in Miami for Winter Music Conference, as Will.i.Am, Kelis, and syndicate members before and after me. Miami is borderline anyway and the club was the absolute horror snob. Also, the sound from Will.i.Am 's laptop caused abdominal pain to me."[GOOGLE TRANSLATION]

Yeah, right! The BEP/Will.I.Am hatred is piling on thicker and faster than usual.

I do think that monstrosity 'dirty bit' has gone so far into ridiculousness that it's mildly hilarious and thus actually holds some intrinsic value. But to be honest, that's more pathetic than it just being plain shite.

What if this forum organises a boycott and doesn't buy any BEP or will.i.am tunes anymore. That will teach him right?
