Thought it might worth doing seeing as we have a movies and football thread.

What's everyone playing at the moment? What's new releases are you excited about?

I'm currently half way through Dead Space 2. It's not one of those game I massively enjoy played as I'm constantly on edge but it is pretty damn cool. I can only play it in small sections as I end up freaking myself out everytime I turn a corner. It's bloody hard too.

I'm interested to see how Homefront turns out. Looks pretty similar to MW2 but the near future occupation setting is interesting me.

Dragon Age 2 comes out next month. I'm cack-my-pants excited about it.

I got bored with Dead Space 1 about 4 hours into it so haven't bought the new one, I've heard it's much better though.

Dead Space isn't usually my type of game mainly cause I play games to have fun rather than sit around with my balls quivering, but I was bored the other weekend and fancied playing something different.

I wouldn't say it's a must purchase game but in terms of art design, atmosphere and tension it's probably the best survival horror I've played. I heard they are planning a movie. It could be epic as long as Uwe Boll isn't attached to direct.
I've never played Dragons Age. Is it similar to Elder Scrolls IV? I loved that game.

Wish I could find my copy of that! I've been playing through some N64 games recently. Ocarina of Time & Super Mario 64. Then moved on to Super Mario Galaxy 2 and just got Goldeneye Wii today so I'll be alternating between the two for a few weeks.

dont really play games anymore, i play poker online but thats not exactly video game territory.

used to be well into my pc games tho, and would say hands down this is the greatest game ive ever played

it is a seriously clever game, and so many times people have won games by thinking outside the box, even when it appears they are losing by being creative and spontaneous in exploiting an opponents weak point. immense game.

I've recently tried my hand at the multiplayer mode on Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It's shit. Don't do it.

The story mode is wicked though.

Just started playing through Ocarina of Time again, on Master Quest this time, SUCH A GOOD GAME!

Also recently bought Skate 3. If you've got Skate 2, don't bother.

Im trying to beat all the time trials on Mirrors Edge, also im trying to beat Valkyria Chronicles,i love that game, but hell,it gets really frustrating when you know you are about to win and you ran out of CP,then in the next round the enemy destroys the Edelweiss and you lose.
Also i started a new game on Heavy Rain,i want to see how things work out this time.

Aaand im excited about this game

Ever since I got Minecraft, its pretty much been all I've been playing. It's really amazing for how simple of a game it is.

Tbh I ddnt find amnesia that scary, penumbra was way worse. Also Call of Cthulhu - Dark Corners of the Earth is probably the scariest game (togheter with silent hill 2)

Playing Starcraft 2 recently. Does anyone else play that would like to get some games going?

Also I would reallllly like to get my hands on Marvel vs. Capcom 3..the game has been overdue for quite some time and looks awesome.

Pretty stoked on Dragon Age 2 as well, loved the first one.

Finally, I will drop most things in my life to play Diablo III when it comes out.

Need to pick up Amnesia, looks perfect for me.

I've recently picked the first Dead space again, got stuck on a bit two years ago and managed to do it the other week. Now on the final level, and it's gotta be up there with my favourite games. Can't wait for the sequel.

DesperAtely trying to find my DS and games so I can play some classic Game Boy Advance Metroid games.
