Thought so. It's not so much the sense of loathing, it's more the paranoid conspiracy therory that gave you away.

Yeah, I find it best to stay in a constant state of paranoia with a blend of conspiracism and spoonfuls of pessimism. This way I sound like a knob in the company of others, am never truly happy before or after games, and during the matches themselves almost die from extremely excessive heart rate.

Just got back from the Cottage. Epic, epic game. Best I've seen Fulham play in years. So satisfying to wave Rooney and Scholes goodbye in one game. Ronaldo was cracking up, couldn't handle the crowd. The moment things turn against Utd he just vanished, that's why he'll never be as good as Messi or as well loved as Gerrard or Lampard.

"Fulham have morphed into Barcelona. Simon Davies hits a cracker from inside the box and Edwin van der Sar parries it away. What on earth is going on?" - to quote the BBC website at one point this afternoon...

It's turning into a typical Spurs season: terrible first half, amazing second half. Next season we'll start really well and then fall away after Christmas.

Man utd fans are so deluded. Go on red cafe or BBC 606 boards...

Apparently shrek didn't deserve to be sent off. The fa are against them. Etc etc. Well worth a read.

Shrek did deserve to be sent off, but I honestly believe from an impartial perspective that Man Utd deserve to win the Premiership this year. They are the better team and no one can possibly deny that. Their strength in depth is astounding when you consider they have so many players out on loan (Manucho at Hull, Campbell at Spurs etc.)

I honestly can't see anyone beating them to the title this season.

They don't deserve it, just for having strength and depth. They do however have by far the best chance because of the quality of players they have, and I can't see them losing another 2 games. Shame, because they're a bunch of wankers.

After the international break, usual proceedings will begin, Liverpool will start dropping points to the small teams, Chelsea will grind out some victories and Man Utd will destroy a few relegation candidates, Arsenal and go on to win by 4 points!

presumably this is just a wind up, but I'll react as if you're being serious; you've hooked me.

Against decent opposistion, United have lost home and away to Liverpool, lost away to Arsenal, and drawn away whilst winning against Chelsea. They're yet to play Villa or Tottenham, but drew both corresponding fixtures.

I think I'm right in saying that United have only won by more than one goal in three league fixtures since mid-November; West Brom, Fulham and Chelsea.

United rode an enormous amount of luck against Inter who, 3 missed sitters aside, offered enough to warrant progression.

Their strength in depth, hmmm. John O'Shea, Sun Ji Park, Darren Fletcher, Anderson, Nani. Astounding? Like fuck it is.

If Liverpool win the league, IF, then it will be more than warranted. Currently sitting with a superior goal difference, having scored the most goals, and having blitzed all top teams put before them, besides a freak Tottenham victory and a backs-against-the-walls point for Arsenal.

United are still favourites, but I can guarantee that if they win the league, it will be through sheer grind. They will not play cavalier football again this season, meaning they will not have played cavalier football AT ALL this season, and this international break has come at the worst possible time for them. Their team are now scattered accross the globe, having to read about or watch on every passing sports channel or newspaper 'pundits' claim that they're cracking up.

They've got a Villa side that have just been humiliated next, and will be playing without the spirit of that team; Scholes, Rooney and Vidic. For both of United's titles in the last two years, none of that team besides Scholes, Giggs and Neville have any experiance of having to regain composure in April and May, having lost it so spectacularly in March.

United have been dreadful for months, spawning one goal wins here and 2-1 wins there. When momentum begins to turn against you, though 1-0s can easily become 0-1s and 1-1s. United don't need to loose another game this season; draws will suffice.

If it was us, and I'd seen a 7 point gap narrowed to 1 point in a 10 day span which included a thrashing by United at Anfield, then I'd have already conceeded the title to them. If Liverpool win their next 8 games, then they'll win the league.

But of course United are the better team. Noone can really deny that.

I'd just like to re-iterate this point in case it got lost in that mire: whoever thinks this international break is a good thing for United is seriously deluded. Next game is against Villa at 4pm on a sunday, 51 hours before they play Porto on the Tuesday. Giggs cannot play two games in a week nevermind two games in two days, and both he and Scholes are the only remotely quality players in that midfield. One is 33, the other is 36.

Actually been watching this whole game from the start, and a tall man did a kind of twist thing and there was lots of subsequent screaming and such.

It says "ENG 1-0 UKR" which i believe, through my years of footballing knowledge, means that England have a higher number of goals than the other people, which in turn means we are in the proverbial "hot seat" for winning.

Now this is how it started, my dreams all broken hearted yet i want you, baby.

Big 3 points for England, not overly impressed with the performance but it's the result that matters

If only Ashley Cole wasn't so clearly our best left back. He was absolutely shit last night, but who are we going to replace him with? Wayne Bridge? Leighton Baines?
