And yes, Barcelona will beat Chelsea.

Well, I bloody hope they do. Foaming at the mouth at the prospect of a Man U - Barcelona final, from a neutral's POV.

Sorry, I Rushed into it there.

I'll get on my Hansen knees to apologise. I've got a Lawro (said like a Scousser) explaining to do.

:( Sorry.

Only one winner there then, as Messi excels in big games and Ronaldo is often anonymous.

Erm, really? So he's never scored important goals, liker, erm, last night or the Champions League final then?

He might be an easy person to hate but you can't doubt his talent.

Don't remember doubting his talent at any point? OK Champions League final, it seems an odd thing to say but what did he do except score? Miss a penalty, and fuck all else. Last night was another fantasic goal, but Porto aren't top class. What about over two legs against Barca? Played well for the first 2 minutes, won a penalty, missed it and then did nothing for a further 178 minutes. What about all the other games against the Premiership top 4 in the last few years. He is physically and technically incredible but sometimes he lacks the commitment and desire that allows lesser players to be more effective and influential in big games.

He ripped Essien apart for the first 45 minutes before a tactical shift meant Essien put Ronaldo on the back foot and United fell behind.

Against Barca he was up front by himself and was basically left to run at defenders by himself. From what I remember he ripped up Puyol and Milito for quite a while but then faded as Barca pressed on.

I'm pretty sure he's scored a few against Arsenal within the last 4 years, as well as against Liverpool and Chelsea.

Yeah Ronaldo scored a stunning goal and then Man U closed out the game, why?

United are still not playing well. By no means is it a foregone conclusion that they'll get past Arsenal. Over the two legs, I don't think anyone could argue that Porto deserved to go through.

Have to disagree, United rose to the challenge in the 2nd leg, beating Porto at home hasn't been done by an English team for what, 9 years? Even if they're not at their best, they are still doing what they need to to progress.

and what I'm saying is, it only lasts so long. I can't remember them crafting a real chance against Porto besides Tevez's goal at Old Trafford; the first was from a defensive howler and the second a wonderstrike that can't be rationalised.

United were found out by Liverpool, Villa and to a large extent Porto. There's still a long way to go in all aspects of this season. A 1-0 win against a team of South American journeyman doesn't prove much to me.

The second leg is I think at the Emirates, in between which they've got Boro away. Exciting stuff.

Vidic missed from inside the 6 yard box.

Arsenal have a guaranteed nine games left this season. Six of them are against Liverpool (1), Chelsea (2), and United (3) - with a possibility of playing United or Chelsea once more depending on how results go!

If that's not a tough run in, I don't know what is.

Arsenal are the most important team in the title race this season, without any chance of winning it. They can destroy any teams hopes of winning it by beating them.
