Tears For Beers Wrote:I was pissing myself when they showed Zenden dancing in slo-mo. Sunday was great for football. Two highly entertaining games.
It was. Missed most of the Everton Gunners game but i took great pleasure in watching Sunderland make Chelsea look distinctly average. Gyan is coming onto a game and Wellbeck played well aswell, especially that touch on the chest to bring it down even though Cech saved it.

Puskas Award shortlist announced. Whos everybody voting for then? Ive given this Matty Burrows guy my vote. Also slightly annoyed they didnt go with Robbens goal at Old Trafford rather than against Schalke in the German Cup.

I never really got this award, so hard to decide. So many beautiful goals. Maybe this was too late, but what a goal indeed.

Although the Belgium/Holland bid has next to no chance of winning the 2018 bid, I actually think it will be good to miss out on hosting the WC. In this age of austerity isnt it more of a curse than a blessing to host such an expensive event? Obviously it brings in jobs and money for local businesses to an extent, but Fifa and its sponsors seem to walk away with the lions share while the taxpayers pick up the bill. I also dont like the idea of such a shady organization circumventing the law, if they werent tax exempt id be much more for it.

Thats why i was thinking that it would be the best option for them, there boasting all these air conditioned stadiums and world infrasturure and also the amount of money that is available to them, as they have hardly any debt etc.

Dont really know much about the Qatar bid, although Im sure they can handle it financially. I was commenting more on the European 2018 bid, arent Spain and Portugal meant to be close to bankruptcy, where are they going to get the money to host such an event?

Yeah is it not Portugal and Ireland that are mighty close.. Suppose each bid has its pro's and con's. I dont really think Russia should get it due to problems with Hooliganilsm and Racism.

But your right regarding Fifa coming and then going again with all the revenue, well, most of it.

I does love a lob aswell. Poborsky ripped that Portuguese keeper in Euro 1996 that was brilliant

What an absolute idiot Nani is. Obviously it's great to see Ronaldo pissed off but I'd rather have seen that amazing goal. I just checked though and Portugal won 4-0.

Pretty unlucky for Ronaldo as Nani wasn't offside and the ball was already over the line! Would have been a great goal, Messi's last night was special too

Lukakus 2nd goal for Belgium was pretty nice, as well as the ball that led to it

Also great to get one over on the money grabbing whore that is Dick Advocaat.
