Fike Wrote:Songwise, stuff like foals, late of the pier, dan le sac, bloc party remixes (the whitey mix of helicopter is my personal fave, but most will do), rage against (for peak time chaos), justice, lcd soundsystem, SMD, blur, kaisers, killers, kings of leon, franz ferdinand, wolfmother, the rapture, klaxons, dioyy, and older stuff like bowie, blondie, new order/joy division etc.

Seriously, they are the easiest crowds to please by far.
ha ha! this is my Thursday night every week!

anything with a rapid guitar and the band all wearing skinny jeans.

thats just given me an idea. i'd love to go to an indie club with a pair of skinny jeans tied to a pole like a flag..... and burn them.

Chromeo gets them indie girls go mad as well, Test Icicles, Daft Punk singles, Mystery Jets, some old skool unmixed Soulwax stuff, some Presets, Goose rmx of Shitdisco, Gossip remixes, breakbot remixes and you're the king of the castle.

I have a chair, king of the castle, king of the castle, you do that you do this, king of the castle.

Old stuff thats been remixed the f*** out of always goes down a treat at those sort of places

Mr. Oizo - Flat Beat (Computer Club Remix)
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (Alvai Rerox)
RATM - Killing In The Name Of (SebastiAn Remix)
Felix Da Housecat - Somthing 4 Porno (Teenage Bad Girl Remix)

Rihanna - Umbrella (VNDLSM Remix)
Matthew Herbert - Moving Like A Train (Smith n Hack Remix)
Kylie - Wow (MSTRKRFT Remix)
Madonna - Into The Groove (Sidechains Remix)
any version of D.A.N.C.E.
All those remixes of hip hop tunes which go slower in the middle (MIA - Paper Planes (Scottie B remix) and the ones of Simon Says and Bad Boy For Life, can't remember who did those two though)

An artist on The Streets label called Example.

One of my favourite artists of the last couple of years.

You specifically mention stuff with a chugging bass.

Loads of stuff on Gomma has that, and loads of remixes by Gomma artists do to.

Anything off The Rapture's last album has it. Lots of DFA stuff has that kind of bassline.

Quite a bit of The Terranova/Lotter Boys/Lotter Girls stuff has it too.

His Tom Vek remix is also a winner!

Muse - Knights of Cydonia (SMD Remix). You'll always confuse a few indie kids with this.
