right...
ive only had my macbook pro a few months.
all seems to be working ok.
but was just watching a dvd in bed wirh the power adapter plugged in.
i started feeling really warm then noticed the power bit on the battery cable was really hot. is that because it was resting on the duvet? or is there another problem?
the battery was charging fine

It's a common trait, the fact it was on a duvet would've exaggerated it as well. Nothing to worry about.

Standard procedure really, same as on my Macbook. I wouldn't worry unless there are any issues with OS X or if you start seeing smoke!

Nice tune, shame about the sleeve...

ok cool.
and for the record... i dont usually leave it wrapped up in a duvet.

when i was djing last night some dickhead girl (actually 2) spilt wine on my laptop. only a splash but one went where the speakers are. all ok but now the keys are sticky.

i need a bouncer in the dj booth. bloody students :(

A silicon keyboard protector is essential. I spilled a drink on my regular macbook keyboard and it broke several keys. It costs a lot more to replace pro keyboards as well...

An A4 ring binder does the trick. Not sure if a 15"er would be too big though.

Ive got the same problem with me MBP. Plus im planning on working on tracks on the beech over the summer so will need something that will do the job to avoid sand etc. Ive got a decent case but need a protective skin, apart from home made cling film jobs does anyone no of a company/website that does these to a good standard???

I have a MBP unibody and sometimes i check on those apple rumours and news sites..
This week i found this...

http://macmagazine.uol.com.br/blog/2009/...e-a-noite/

It is a brazilian site so it´s written in portuguese but this happened to some guy who left his macbook charging during the night.
It also says that this has happened with other MBP owners and apple has yet to recognize any problem with the chargers...

Scary !
