The movies you've seen recently thread

Watched a few last weekend.

Rise of Planet of the Apes - Amazing CGI and performance from Andy Serkis. Pretty standard and predictable storyline but entertaining nonetheless.

Bridesmaids - Utter BS. Just felt like a female version of every other US comedy of recent years - same format, same jokes, same characters. Avoid unless you're trying to get your willy wet.

Hangover 2 - Formulaic, but still had me in creases at points. Felt familiar and comfortable, like an old hoody.

127 Hours - Fun to start off with, bit dull and lacking direction in the middle, then gruesome towards the end. It had me grimacing at the telly more than once, mostly the nerve bit.

I've got a copy of TT Closer to the Edge waiting in the wings...looking forward to that one.
