The cast is superb, I like the fact that it's made up of some of the best character actors out there. I've always liked Michael Shannon and Michael Pitt's work especially.

Yeah, I agree, the whole Vince/Sasha thing is rubbish, really not getting Vince at all.

It's all about Ari at the minute though, one of the best characters ever.

Cameos in this series have been wicked though.
It's always been about Ari.

If I could only watch Mad Men for the rest of my life I would be a very happy man.

FWWM is an interesting one. Some people find it very disapointing as it does nowt about the season 2 cliffhanger, others really like it and consider it one of the best things Lynch has done (i'm somewhat in the latter, although I don't think its *that* good). Its a lot weirder, darker and more disjointed than TP - a lot less of the warmth the series had. Still definately worth a watch (or two)

Just started (well blitzed through first series this weekend) Friday Night Lights. Pretty good, and this is coming from someone who has 0 interest in football. It's more about life in small town america and has some great characters.

might give friday nightlights a chance, remember seeing an ad and thinking it looked pants

the only other contact i've had with it is through explosions in the sky who did the most of the film soundtrack, which is a massive bonus (for the film)

i still haven't got around to watching it yet either, mainly because it focuses on my least favorite characters and the ones i do like get very little screen time if any.
i will watch it eventually just to wrap it up but my expectations aren't that high.

Ah see, I like it because there is a lot of focus on the supernatural stuff; BOB, the lodges, one armed man and all that - which was a part of the show I was really interested in. However character wise the focuses are annoying; there's a long chunk at the start with FBI agents we've never seen before (although one is Jack Bauer) and very very little Cooper and in the TP parts theres a fair amount of Donna and James (euch) and none of the Hornes. . The stuff with the Palmers is really quite good though, the actors playing Leland and Laura really go for it

Boston Legal is absolutely fantastic hangover viewing. Bill Shatner is a comedy genius.
