Is there any reason to buy from Beatport over other online stores apart from when it's an exclusive?

Beatport want £1.50 per track or £7.48 for the five-track EP.
The whole EP is £1.79 on iTunes.

I feel like I'm missing something. They're same or similar quality, right?

Good luck mate, I tried it last year. Days 2 and 3 were probably the hardest, I feel your pain!

Cheers for the support guys... Not had a cig yet so going all right. Still, going cold turkey is not a barrel of laughs.

One thing I found helped a bit at first was to still have your cigarette breaks (at work or whatever) but do something else like eat an apple or some crisps or whatever instead. And one thing I found unhelpful was counting the days as it eventually sunk in that I wasn't counting towards any actual number and it started to seem futile. So try not to make a big thing of how many days it's been i guess.

That said, I'm back to smoking now so what do I know :)

haha. well the plan is to pop down phonica once a week to spend what I would normally spend on fags on records.

According to @UberFacts on twitter, you're more likely to successfully quit if you quit on a Thursday. Working so far.

I will admit, I have moved every piece of furniture I own around at least twice this weekend.

Apparently after 3 days you're through the physical cravings and all that remains is psychological, so yes - should get a bit easier soon, good luck!

I stopped for 6 months a few years ago, Smoked more than double what I thought I would at Glasto a few years ago and thought I'd give myself a break. First 2 weeks were difficult, but only because I associated it with breaks at work as sushilnash said, it's more of a habit in htat sense than me actually 'needing' a cigarette.

First 2 weeks were the hardest, after that you kind of forget about it. Great plan to spend fag money on records though!

Brodinski.

Anyway here is my monthly muse.

2013 has been a year of things you thought were gonna the best (new Xbox, Daft Punk) actually turning out to be really shit.

That is all. Thankyou and goodbye.

New Xbox does look dreadful, which is why I've pre-ordered the PS4. Although I only use my PS3 once every few weeks, so probably a waste of time.

the In Flagranti threads remind me some previews of Aavikko i heard the other day. i've been trying to make my way through aquariusrecords.com's electronic music section and this is one of the things i liked from my first venture

http://grooveshark.com/#!/search/song?q=...iscodelico

Quote:So what's in store for listeners on Novo Atlantis? Initially we were struck by this album's even MORE electronic sound, taking Aavikko into techno-disco territory, more computery, less live band sounding. Though human metronome Tomi Leppanen (also the drummer for AQ faves Circle) is still behind the drum kit, there's plenty of purely electronic beats and rhythms on here it seems. Yet at the same time, this album also features French horn, trombone, trumpet, tuba, and even church pipe organ!! So while on one had it's all very futuristic (in a spaced out cosmic disco way), this also takes inspiration from way way back, the pre-electronic, classical music era in fact. You could call Novo Atlantis the "switched-on Bach" version of Aavikko, or more precisely, "switched-on Hoppel", Egil Hoppel allegedly being an obscure Finnish composer of the baroque period, discussed in the sleeve notes of Novo Atlantis. Supposedly he was some sort of child prodigy (he only lived 1722-1737!), an organist whose music has apparently become a major influence on Aavikko's new direction. We say allegedly and supposedly since we halfway suspect they made him him up, that he's a hoax much like those "funerary violin" fellows. Probably some quick Googling would resolve the question, but we prefer not to know for sure.

from http://www.aquariusrecords.org/cat/electronic.html

u have to do a lot of reading but theres some amazing stuff in there im sure. also to listen to the previews i copy the link then change m3u to mp3 and it just lets me stream it in my browser.
