Was a gaming nut till quite a few years back. Last thing I owned was a PS2 so recently bought a second hand PS3 and Fallout 3. This is easily the bast game I have played in years. Beats the shit out of Call of Duty, Medal of Honour and all that shit.
Resident Evil and Final Fantasy games aint what they used to be. Fallout 3, Street Fighter 3 and Gears of War 2 are the only reasons I'm getting back into videogames.

Can't really compare Fallout to COD. Totally totally different games. Fallout is a First Person RPG and COD is not. But, to agree with you, yes, totally dope game. But I do prefer New Vegas if you've only tried Fallout 3. Story is a lot more in depth and there's a lot more choices you can make.

Only problem with Fallout is crashing. So notorious for it. The amount of times I've done a 5 hour sesh for it to all just freeze and make me put the game down for a good month.

had to replace my PS3 after my launch model blew it. also forgot my password for my old PSN, so I've had to go back and replace the vast majority of my DLC and trophies.

that said, I'm so gonna get Dead Island when my loan gets paid in next week.

Had to turn Dead Island off yesterday as the other half didn't like "the loud sounds of death" while she was trying to sleep!

Nothing quite beats the feeling of cracking one of the running zombies at just the right moment and watching its head explode in slow motion.

I'd be playing it now but the thought of Gears Of War 3 taking over my life in 1 week is completely fucking up my will to play any game right now.................................

The only games I find myself playing at the moment are Black Ops and Skate 3. Looking forward to MW3 and Battlefield 3. Perhaps I should give Deus Ex a whirl - the old PC version of it was brilliant.

Considering buying a PS3 at the moment, but mainly as a media player and VOD (iplayer, 4OD etc) player for the telly in the lounge. Anyone got one they want to get rid of?

Found a PS3 120Gb for £130, bargain.

Game suggestions? Ideally I want stuff that's got plenty of replay value like Skate 3.

Got some Xbox games for sale on ebay to help fund my frivolous nature...

Yesterday I got into a gun fight with some guys in an apartment, so I picked up a fridge for cover. When I was done killing his pals, I threw the fridge at the last guy, which in turn hit him so hard he flew out the window.

Love games like that, where they really think about all the little details. Think I'll pick this one up.

I was talking to some friends who have it today, and it's like we're all playing a different game. It's that varied.

Currently playing AC: Brotherhood in prep for the new one out in a few weeks. Great story and gameplay, one of my fav game franchises.

I'm aslo really hyped about Fifa 12, Arkham City and Battlefield 3. Gonna be a good few months of gaming ahead.

I was thinking of getting it but I heard the boss battles are really crap. Really tempted to pick it up though as I love game which offer you multiple ways of playing.

I'm about 25 hours in and there have only been two boss-battles so far, so no big deal.

Also, and this is a spoiler, so don't read if you don't want to be spoiled:

There is an augmentation called Typhoon which fires ball bearings out of your body in a 360 degree arc. It does HUGE damage and only costs two praxis points. Both bosses I've encountered, I've killed in under ten seconds by shooting them with the stun gun, then using Typhoon twice in a row. This apparently also works fine for the 3rd boss.

If you're worried about the boss battles, it's worth getting that Aug, only if you only use them on bosses, because it trivialises them. By the end of the game you have more than enough Praxis to get all the Augs you want, so don't worry about wasting them.

I've just been playing Gears of War 2 to get back into the swing of things in time for number 3. So excited for it. Just been watching some videos from the beta on youtube and it looks amazing.
