This is actually the "Secret Ingredients Mix" of the track.
Oh wait, just read your looking for "rowdier" deep house stuff. In that case I'd suggest some DJ Sneak.

Yeah rowdy's the wrong word. Just stuff that can nicely transition into a more straight-up house/tech-house/electro (later on) set...

Hmm... maybe Shadow Dancer "It's The Everything" or Cassius "Les Enfants"?

Stuff like this? It's free on beatport anyway.

Akabu - Another World (Andre Lodemann Mix)

DC Salas - Peru

I would have posted the videos but apparently I'm only allowed to post 1 :s

I listened to a mix ''Throne of Blood Invasion Mix'' that's quite Deep House.

Or check out Seth Troxlers Igloofest Podcast, i'm not too great with pinpointing genre's.

One that springs to mind is Lee Jones & .... - Basic Soul Chords

A lot of the stuff on Wolf + Lamb, Crosstown Rebels, Hot Natured etc could be good for moving from deep house to more tech house.

the Deep House tag kind of bugs me... it can mean 'vocal soulful house', 'bassy minimal techno' as well as 'Sound Pellegrino sound'.

my veredict - fuck it.

Funny that i was just listening to Hot Natured Wintertime, great tune and great EP!

It's hard to tag a song to a genre and each person has their take on what genre a song is TipoTest..

imo listening to the top 20 for any genre on beatport is NEVER a good indication of a genre's health... look at dubstep / skrillex. tho maybe for deep house this is less true? id suspect not though.

the top 10 downloads for deep house are actually alright atm, #1 is probably my fave tune of the year thusfar. also theres charts by w+l, deniz kurtel and will saul, bound to find good tracks there.

Wouldn't really say that Sound Pellegrino-esque music could really be called deep house, its too fast and upbeat the majority of the time. Deep house is slower and more 'relaxed' imo, but I suppose genre labels aren't that fixed and can be open to interpretation.

Something like this could be good for from some slower house to something a bit more uptempo, reckon it would sound alright pitched down quite a bit.

Ian Blevin's edit of "How Long" by Ace might make a nice transition to house too.

Ohhhh, and the KiNK and Neville Watson remix of Masturjaktor by Terre Thaemlitz, really great track.

How long is your set? If you are playing deep house you only need about 3 tracks per hour anyway ;-)

Haha, I'm playing for two hours, but I won't be playing much 'deep house' - just looking for a few tracks to transition out of really!
