1. For the 3rd time in my life I booked a wrong (date fail) flight ticket. And of course I realised after paying. It's Ryanair, so I can't cancel it - and changing/re-booking the ticket costs a lot more than actually booking a new one. FML.

2. The last week was insane, and I also had a lot of stuff to finish during the weekend. Yesterday I went to sleep at midnight, I had to wake up at six today. It takes a while til I fall asleep, I barely sleep at all, but yesterday I felt so tired that I actually started falling asleep right after I got into bed. And it was a blessing.
Until some idiot texted me at 3 am, asking to get online, because it's something mega important. And so I did.
Turned out it wasn't anything important, plus it was something I am NOT responsible for. I got so angry that I was not able to sleep anymore, ended up watching some crap on TV until five, and then had to get out of bed at 6. FML2.

Cheers for the sympathy Evangelink/Aiden. I'll live, it just feels like I've badly bruised the sole of my foot.

In that weird area where I've spent my budget on Christmas presents for the girlfriend, but feel obliged to buy more as it doesn't look like I've bought her much and the presents are really unimaginative (i.e. three out of five are blu-rays...)

Christmas present buying is just headache inducing.

Five? Lucky girl, mine's getting two. I know exactly what you mean - I feel like I should be buying more.

as a christmas present to myself i bought some beautiful brown suede boots (joke all you like), they are superb, i feel like clint eastwood walking around in them. they were very expensive.

then yesterday while poaching some eggs i cracked some raw egg over the toe of the left boot. and it wont go away, unbelievable FML. it was my own fault and im so pissed off.

on a side not, i havent bought any christmas presents yet, and im starting to prang a little. especially because my girlfriend is piling on the pressure about what i got her. eeeeeeeekkkk

still, more peeved about the boots.

Any present that says "the art of brown bagging" on it is good in my book

yes, I'm a girl and I'm vegetarian too.
but I don't need much to be happy anyway...
so if she doesn't like it, please don't blame it on me! ;-)

i reckon its a bit harsh, in many languages the word or a variant of it which suarez is meant to have used isnt at all offensive and doesnt carry the weight of tainted history it does in many western countries. of course he should adapt to english norms and refrain from using it in england where it is offensive but i dont think throwin the book at him helps much.
