Trust me, I own the vinyl and it's way too quiet. You have to abuse Gain in the club compared to all other digitally released stuff... And I do have two digital versions, too. A flac is the best. But no Vbr mate. :) Edit: ok, to get this technically: the spectrals of this professional made 320 RIP, which should closely resemble the quality of Swamp81's release, is cut of @ 20khz (look at the picture below). Swims by Boddika & Joy Orbison is not the only vinyl release by this label which has this "quiet problem". It's been discussed on a more technical forum, which goes beyond this board here, and people assume that this is a mastering problem. So check this pic and do not tell me that I do judge from VBR rips from whatever you said... thank you:

As long as this hasn't been remastered for a digital release you don't wanna play it out anywhere unless you go +3db compared to the other tracks you play... and then the kick and bassline sound shit... sorry my opinion. Perhaps Nima remastered it for himself :P |

I have played a vinyl rip of Swims in a club. Nobody stopped dancing, but the synth line on the Alternate Version (and the best version, pop pickers), does sound a little weak, and it's reassuring to hear it does so on vinyl too.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying it's anything noticeable in the grand scheme of things. Also, Boddika in particular doesn't seem like someone who'd put out a dodgy pressing of anything.
