Anyone else having issues with Chrome recently? Don't know if it's my crap laptop, or it's a general problem. Had a search and it sounds like some people are having similar issues but mainly with YouTube videos. Mine is freezing on random web pages, that dialogue box pops up asking if you want to kill the unresponsive pages, but if I leave it 5 mins, the pages then load up as normal...
Did a software update, deleted Chrome and reinstalled it, hasn't changed anything... |

Literally everything you just said, AND the youtube videos. Not to mention my laptop is just six months old.

After about two years of Chrome, I switched to Firefox because it was getting worse by the update. Doesn't feel to bad really, way improved compared to the last time I used it.

ya man wtf! I loved google chrome but have now switched to FFOX.
For those who still want the functionality of Chrome ie adrees bar also as google. Type> about:config click yes I agree find> keyword.URL right click + modify and put "http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=" AND now you type whatever and will automatically search in google. Instead of using the stupid shit in the top right corner. Also for the theme. FXchrome https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...serprofile Enjoy Firefox :D |

Is there anything particularly wrong with the right hand corner box? I've set mine to search with Google, and works fine. http://soundcloud.com/evangelink88 (2012-08-25 16:17:54)TempestDisco Wrote: BRWEEEEEEEEAGH BURR BURR BURR |

No but it is useless to have once you switch up the adress bar to be used as a search bar as well. It becomes an all in one and much more practical and one of the biggest reasons why I had switched to Chrome in the first place. And for those who want to remove it. Right click on empty area near the search box. Select customise. Now drag the search box into the window that just opened. Voila. |
