Yo Yo... it's some kind of 1920s theme night at my residency tomorrow. They want the usual chart stuff I have to play but the odd jazz remix and funky tune thrown in..

Anyone got any suggestions of remixes of tunes, I'm thinking along the lines of Gramophonedzie - why don't you and that Yolanda - Americano...

Thanks for your time !

Yeah man used to play a lot of electro swing played a masquerade swing ball recently so refreshed my knowledge on it all pretty recently! some names to check:

James Copeland
Shemian
Stereo Express
JFTH

All pretty bouncy tech house with that kind of 1920s edge!

you wanna check Parov Stelar.

Nowadays, I wish that a lot of DJs at festivals could stop thinking, "OK, I gotta rock the people" and take a step back. It's easy to make everyone go crazy. Scooter can make people go crazy. That's not a tricky thing. It's harder to do something fresh.

Dunno how i forgot this!

Also for a more kinda broken beat percussive track, its not exactly 1920s but definately goes down v well and feels like the right kinda vibe, check the forum's own Santero with this one
