We are teaming up with Odd Rituals once again, to bring you a Cómeme label showcase. In homage to Cómeme’s street-party roots the party is an all-day terrace party, moving inside when the sun goes down, at The Brixton Clubhouse, on Sunday 8th July.

Limited earlybird tickets are now on sale via Resident Advisor: http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?373062

Given its international cast of artists and the ensuing influences thereof, Cómeme is not a label that can be easily defined. Since its inception though, Cómeme has been responsible for some of the most subversive, idiosyncratic and fun house music around. Whether this be Chicago-style house, dirty EBM, “caveman disco” or dance-floor drones with vocal incantations, there is a primal, often frantic spirit that demands movement and defies self-control of the listener. Aguayo will be playing one of his live-dj sets, which are as good as it gets, every time. Alejandro Paz, Christian S and Capracara will bringing their own particular Cómeme vibes to the terrace.

As if this wasn’t enough, further support comes Optimo whose own blazed-trail against clubbing conformity foretold the path of Cómeme. Further support comes from Auntie Flo whose Future Rhythm Machine has defined the early summer. He will be playing back to back with fellow Highlife resident Esa. And last but not least the stylish man of all rhythms, History Clock boss Nathan G Wilkins.

Make no mistake, this is going to be an riot.
