A year ago we introduced the western world to Chida and his ‘Ene’ label alongside COS/MES (Funiki /ESP Institute). We welcome him back for the first leg of his second international tour that’s taking in 10 dates (London, Newcastle, Portugal (inc. Lux Club - Lisbon), Finland, Germany, Russia and Switzerland).

There’s great excitement surrounding our reacquaintance with Tokyo’s weird, wonderful best at ReviveHER.

‘‘Ene’ isn’t just any record label. According to their website it is “the record label in Tokyo since 2009”. Although it’s unclear whether the self-proclaiming statement is intentional, little is lost in translation with regard to the music. The catalogue reigns in sublime alien sound-worlds and expresses a beautiful curiosity for the unknown. It’s mellifluous grooves bloom with purpose within the all-consuming swell of atmospheric sound. Unsurprisingly it has caught the attention of the world’s supreme tastemakers.
As Chida says whether lost in translation or not, "The Record Label In Tokyo" since 2009.

The enigmatic ColouringIN return for the ultimate revival. Forages afar a field as China and The Middle East, Henry Bennett, the classically trained singer, musician and frontman of ColouringIN, who gave ReviveHER her name, takes his annual leave to disrupt, distress and entertain East London before he departs again. And what better way to do that than with a one off performance from his last London project. There is another reason for that too. We will be putting out his glorious material on ReviveHER Records which launches later this year. Check an old Dazed interview with Henry

Chida's Dancaholic parties are something of legend in Tokyo. This year he's hosted Tiago; a Keep It Cheap Tour with Eric Duncan and Justin Vandervolgen, as well as Vakula and most recently Lovefingers for the celebration of his Ene * ESP collaboration featuring Stallions Remix of Backwoods Cloud Nine.

Last Waltz are allegedly the unnofficial house band of Tourist-Mag, a North East based (lack of) culture website that attempts to shine a light on anything that it deems "proper". They are also hosting Chida and The Backwoods the following day and here's an exclusive recording from a recent DJ set from Chida in Japan! Enjoy...

http://tourist-mag.com/wurd/exclusive-ch...ty-details
With their Trinket EP out in all good record shops as of last week, including Staff Pick of the week at Manchester's Piccadilly Records, it's only fitting that their Phonica Podcast also drops with over 100 plays in just over a week! It's The Last Waltz

Also - As a precursor to their full page spread in DJ Mag, Here's Some Media Hype In The Online About Last Waltz and their Dada parties - something of legend on the Tyne.

New Mixes Ahead Of Tonight. Get Them On. Glam Up And Go Out. For those who are serious about coming down, we have been informed that we can only go on until 3am, as is the same with all the venues in Hackney without a permanent license due to the police's decision regarding safety and the Olympics! But the party must go on. We've sorted a little afters. For the address hang around for the announcement or ask on the door.
