We welcome him back for the first leg of his second international tour that’s taking in 10 dates (London, Newcastle, Portugal (inc. Lux Club - Lisbon), Finland, Germany, Russia and Switzerland). There’s great excitement surrounding our reacquaintance with Tokyo’s weird, wonderful best at ReviveHER. ‘‘Ene’ isn’t just any record label. According to their website it is “the record label in Tokyo since 2009”. Although it’s unclear whether the self-proclaiming statement is intentional, little is lost in translation with regard to the music. The catalogue reigns in sublime alien sound-worlds and expresses a beautiful curiosity for the unknown. It’s mellifluous grooves bloom with purpose within the all-consuming swell of atmospheric sound. Unsurprisingly it has caught the attention of the world’s supreme tastemakers.
