The Horse & Groom 28 Curtain Rd EC2A 3NZ
/Carnival capers/ Red stripe drinks promo/ 10 hour extravaganza

The Horse & Groom has a fantastic reputation for putting on insane Carnival and bank holiday bashes with previous guest including Jamie Jones, Metro Area, I Cube, Greg Wilson, The Revenge, Move D, Robert James, Death on the Balcony, Mark E and many more. For Sunday Carnival 2012 at the Horse & Groom once again the bar is raised with garage legend Wookie & house duo Waze & Odyssey (Wolf Music) headlining and you never know who else may join the party especially with the likes of MK, Dimitri from Paris, Onsunlade playing secret gigs at Shoreditch's premier party pub of late.

Discovery & This is not Happening will be hosting downstairs and 2 Sweet 4 Shoreditch taking over both the loft and the Boudoir upstairs so musically expect a party mix House, Disco, Garage (past & present and carnival classics thrown in for good measure alongside special Carnival drink promos, decorations and plenty of capers!

Wookie - Arguably the most talented producer to emerge from the UK underground to date, Wookie (aka Xmen or Exemen), is a figurehead of the garage scene and has a striking number of club classics under his belt including remixes for the likes of Lily Allen, Jill Scott, John Legend, Gabrielle, Masters at Work, Jessie J, Soul II Soul, Angie Stone, Faithless, and Sia to name a few. His unique sound and the high caliber of production earned him respect throughout the industry making him one of the most sought after producers in the game. Heavily influenced by his father, a reggae producer, Wookie began his career alongside reggae star Wayne Marshall. He produced the majority of Marshall’s debut album “90 Degrees and Rising” which topped the Music Week dance chart for 3 weeks and the Urban Street Chart for 8 weeks. Shortly after the release of that album Wookie spent the next 10 years as an in-house writer/producer at the Soul II Soul Studios where he credits developing his sound remixing tracks for Destiny’s Child, Public Enemy and Nas. Wookie’s sound was in development during the late 90’s which became apparent in his bootleg remixes leading to his self titled debut in 2000. These were the years I developed my undeniable passion for music which I credit, in large part, to this man. Now if I can only get him to remix a Deee-lite track, I can then die. If this is your first introduction to his music, I’m proud to share with you a world of soulful masterpieces in a modern style, that is as fresh as it is innovative and distinctive and without question essential. Prove it? Okay

Waze & Odyssey- Waze & Odyssey rolled onto the scene in early 2012 with their debut release "Ah Baby (Here We Go Again)" EP on Petfood Recordings.Their sound could be described as MK meets Todd Terry meets the spirit of Tony Humphries at Zanzibar Club and it's a sound that has caused quite a stir with tastemakers across the board, with the likes of Lazaro Casanova, Friendly Fires, Bicep and Danny Daze all bigging them up. Their catalogue so far includes remixing for Trunkfunk, putting their own touch to No Artificial Colour's - "Detroit Baby What" and releasing on Body Work, which earnt them a 9.5 out of 10 in the DJ Mag "Killer Tracks" feature. They also put together a coveted Data Transmission podcast with heavy support from their much loved fans, notching up one of the biggest ever listens in the series, next to acts like Disclosure and Maxxi Soundsystem. I Can't Hear You (Dance) out vinyl only via Sccucci Manucci has recently caused a stir with plays on BBC Radio 1 from Annie Mac alongside plays on Rinse FM taking the boys to a wider audience. August 2012 sees the launch of their own vinyl only label W&O Street Recordings - launching with the massive Love That (Burns Hot Enough) / This Is How It's Gotta Be.

This Is Not Happening is a London-based club night/website dedicated to pushing underground dance music. For the past 3 years, TINH has championed upcoming talent - giving UK debuts to Christopher Rau & Dionne from Smallville, Makam, Le Loup, Dubbyman and Ernie, as well as hosting names such as Bliq, BLM, Wolf Music, Fudge Fingas and Trus'Me. Alongside the club night runs the TINH website - a blog showcasing new, underground talent, forgotten gems from the past, and a regular podcast series with input from the likes of Scott Ferguson, Jay Simon, Dockside Records and DJ Speculator to name a few.
TINH's latest exciting venture is the launch of its own record label - with the first release set to feature original music from hotly tipped french duo Arcarsenal. Stay tuned for more info!
