The Beat that my heart skipped is afilm i've been wanting to see for a while, but then always forget about.
Death Proof - i really enjoyed it, Kurt Russel was an inspired choice.

3 films i'd recommend would be:
City of Lost Children (another one from french directors, Jeunet et Caro - with costumes by Jean Paul Gautier)

Wild Angels - The film Peter Fonda made before Easy Rider. Its where Primal Scream sampled the "just what is it you want to do? - we wanna be free" bit from on come together. Makes the hairs stand up on your arms.

and Wild Zero - Japanese zombie film starring the real Japanese band Guitar Wolf - brilliant.

(Doh! You mean Loaded, yeah.)

Guitar Wolf are funny as fuck. Like a more insane version of The Misfits.
Friend of mine sent me some of their DVD's from Japan. Comedy gold. I've got a live video of them where the Guitarist stops the show so he can do his hair. Priceless.

I Think it's Jonas Akerlund* who directed the Prodigys, Smack My Bitch Up who wrote, directed and edited Spun.

*Spellcheck.

Spun - its got Debbie Harry in it too.

Guitar Wolf are a band i'd love to see - i heard Bass Wolf died tho?? But then i saw that they were playing at Dour festival last year - i won tickets for it but couldn't go in the end - gutted.
